It Hurts A Lot – Lionel Messi Reacts As Sergio Aguero Suddenly Retires From Football
Lionel Messi, a forward for Paris Saint-Germain, has reacted to Sergio Aguero’s unexpected retirement from football.
After the Barcelona striker was forced to announce his retirement from sport on Wednesday, the Argentine paid respect to Aguero, whom he regarded as a friend and former national teammate.
Aguero joined Barcelona last summer, shortly after Lionel Messi left for Paris Saint-Germain.
Aguero had joined Barcelona with great hopes of playing with Lionel Messi, but contractual issues forced him to leave for PSG.
In a message sent to Aguero on Wednesday, Messi emphasized how close they had gotten as friends.
“It’s like putting an entire career together.” We’ve had some fantastic times and some not-so-great times, but they’ve all brought us closer together and made us better friends. And we’re going to spend them together off the field as well,” Messi posted on Instagram.
“With all of your triumphs in England, and the enormous delight of hoisting the Copa America just a few weeks ago…. And the truth is that seeing how you have to stop doing what you love the most because of what happened to you now hurts a lot.
“I’m confident you’ll continue to be happy because you exude happiness, and those of us who love you will be there for you.” Now a new chapter in your life begins, and I am confident that you will embrace it with a smile on your face and all of the passion that you bring to everything you do.
“Wishing you all the best in this new phase!” I adore you, my friend, and I’ll miss seeing you on the field and when we get together with the national team.”
