Despite those fond recollections, a move to Madrid appears to be out of the question, as a cost of roughly €60 million would be required.

Madrid paid €100 million for Hazard, which will be paid in five installments over the next five years.

The Blues believe the sum is very expensive,’ and they are aware of Hazard’s recent performances.

Last season, Thomas Tuchel led Chelsea to the Champions League, and he believes he has ample cover on the wings.

He’d rather spend money on a striker after spending most of his time in charge utilizing Kai Havertz as a false nine.

Chelsea has been after Borussia Dortmund starlet Erling Haaland and had prepared bids that included some of their own players.

He’ll most likely continue with Dortmund, and Chelsea’s attentions have shifted elsewhere, notably to Robert Lewandowski.

    DON’T MISS:

Chelsea is preparing a £50 million bid for the 32-year-old striker, widely considered as the best in the world, according to SunSport.

According to the Evening Standard, Tuchel told reporters at the end of last season, “Two or three might be very, very good.”

‘It’s a constant that you should never reject change.’ That you always bring new energy, new guys that challenge everyone in training and matches, I believe that’s a wonderful thing.

‘We don’t need another seven and another total turnover because it’s also our responsibility to keep improving, since we still have a young team and it’s not about robbing them of the opportunity to prove that they are capable of growing and changing.’
