Manchester United will face Leicester City on transfer deadline day, and it will be interesting to watch how many deals they can complete.

According to reports in the Spanish press (news image provided below), the Red Devils could sign Sergino Dest from Barcelona before the transfer window closes.

Barcelona is seeking a right back, according to Sport, and names such as Hector Bellerin and Meunier have been connected with the Nou Camp team.

The Catalan club is looking to sell Dest, who is not wanted by Xavi, and Man United is said to be interested in the American international.

According to today’s edition of Mundo Deportivo, Old Trafford is the only option for the 21-year-old because he would be able to reconnect with Erik ten Hag.

According to a reputable news source, Barcelona is willing to sell the young right back but is unwilling to complete a swap/exchange deal with the Red Devils.

The former Ajax player’s current contract expires in 2025, and Sport reported earlier this month that Barcelona would only trade him for £17.2 million in cash (20 million euros).

Ten Hag does not favor Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but the manager has assured that the England international will remain. United may have to abandon their hopes to sign Dest.
