Glendora, CA – After a storied career spanning over three decades, Top Fuel legend Doug Kalitta has announced his retirement from professional drag racing, effective immediately.
Kalitta, 57, is one of the most successful drivers in NHRA history, with 49 career wins and two Top Fuel world championships (1994 and 1995). He has been a dominant force in the sport, competing at the highest level and earning numerous accolades throughout his career.
“It’s time for me to hang up my helmet and move on to the next chapter of my life,” Kalitta said in a statement. “I’m grateful for the incredible opportunities I’ve had and the support of my family, team, and fans. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished, and I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
