Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns have finally started to catch their rhythm, winning seven of their previous nine games and jumping to 23-21 on the 2024-25 NBA season. It certainly is starting to appear that sending Bradley Beal to the bench was the right move.
On Monday night, the Suns eyed their third straight win as they took on James Harden and the Los Angeles Clippers at Footprint Center.
Coming into the game, Durant had made 10,284 field goals throughout his NBA career, good for the 15th most in NBA history. He was just two field goals shy of surpassing San Antonio Spurs legend Tim Duncan (10,285) for 14th
At the 4:07 mark of the first quarter, the former Texas Longhorns star drained a 13-foot pullup jump shot, his second made shot of the night. In doing so, Durant now passes Duncan to take sole possession of the 14th spot on the all-time field goals made list.
The NBA made a congratulatory post for Durant on X.
“Congrats to @KDTrey5 of the @Suns for moving into 14th all-time in FIELD GOALS MADE!
