The Nuggets have a major bump on their road amid their successful chase down at LA. Tonight, the Mile-High City took on the Lakers at the Crypto.com arena, carrying over the playoff rivalry.
While the new-look Lakers got the better of the visitors in the first half, the Denver side quickly repaid early in the third quarter. Following that, when Jamal Murray & Co. looked to capitalize on their push, the point guard suffered a scary eye injury.
Murray had a promising night, making 5-10 FG compared to his previous performances, but around the 7th minute, when he went up against Anthony Davis for a jumper, the big man’s fingers severely poked his eyes, causing him great pain. Ironically, Murray received the intimidating nudge from the man, who has a history of eye injuries; in the previous season, AD even missed a game due to an eye injury sustained during play. The Nuggets rapidly took the lead three minutes into the third quarter after heading to the locker room with a 6-point deficit in the first half.
