The so-called “Wheelchair Incident” in which Paul Pierce was carted off in the third quarter of Game 1 of the 2008 NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers with what appeared to be a serious knee injury, only to return later in the game to help Boston put on a show. It seems like there is always something new to learn about this incident. What actually took place that evening? Did Pierce truly injure himself and then get well enough to play that evening?
