King Diamond has canceled their November 20 performance at the Edmonton Convention Center in Edmonton, Alberta, and their November 21 performance at TCU Place in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The following announcement was made on TCU Place’s social media: “The next King Diamond performances in Saskatoon and Edmonton have been canceled due to unanticipated circumstances. You can get a refund at the time of purchase. King Diamond’s performance at the Grey Eagle in Calgary is still scheduled, and tickets may be purchased at modo-live.com or ticketmaster.com.
Although the cause of the incident is unknown, it seems safe to rule out anything disastrous because the other Canadian show is still airing. King Diamond is touring North America with openers Overkill and Night Demon, as well as recently added supporting vocalist and keyboardist Myrkur. In addition, King Diamond is performing two brand-new songs that we have never heard before, which gives us all faith that The Institute is still going strong. You can purchase tickets here.
