Manchester United submits fresh Champions League squad to UEFA ahead of Atletico tie
Amad Diallo, Donny van de Beek, and Anthony Martial were omitted from the squad by Ralf Rangnick in the amended list.
The management also made some changes, bringing in Lee Grant, a fourth-choice goalkeeper, and Phil Jones, a center back.
After the January transfer window, UEFA allows clubs to make up to three changes to their squad.
The Red Devils have made two appearances since returning from injury, with Grant and Jones replacing three senior team players.
Amad went on loan to Rangers for the second half of the season, while Van de Beek went to Everton in the same way.
Anthony Martial was also loaned out to Sevilla.
